Serves 4
Ingredients:
1 Carrot - peeled and sliced
3 Spears broccoli
8 French beans - trimmed and cut into 2cm lengths
60g (2oz) Pasta shapes
Cheese sauce
1.1/2 Tbsp butter/margarine
1.1/2 Tbsp plain flour
175ml (6 fl oz) Full fat milk
30g (1 oz) Cheese - grated
Equipment:
2 Saucepans
Sharp knife
Scales
Chopping board
Grater
Wooden spoon
Whisk
Measuring jug
Method:
Boil the vegetables for approx 10 minutes in a saucepan
Cook the pasta in boiling water for about 12 minutes then drain
Put the butter, flour and milk in a pan and whisk until it thickens then stir in grated cheese
Add the vegetables and pasta to the cheese sauce and serve
