The hi street

The hi team has been working with the members to make it even easier to get instant, money saving benefits from hiwecanhelp.com!

In November 2011 the hiwecanhelp website will celebrate its 3rd anniversary and since its launch hi has become an essential tool to healthcare professionals. The ongoing growth in DAT membership, front line staff membership and numbers of followers on twitter are accolades that reflect its success.

The hi street is being created as a place where you can quickly access and buy high quality training, campaigns and other innovative products that the hi team have designed. The shop area is currently being developed and we encourage our members to visit to look at what we have on offer! In the meanwhile we will talk a bit about some of the new projects we have in the pipeline...

Training - as well as providing 24/7 support to the healthcare sector and the general public via hiwecanhelp.com, the hi team has now been recognised as an accredited centre to deliver Open College Network training. In addition to offering training on all areas covered on the hi website, the hi team will be able to provide bespoke training courses.

Campaigns - all of the members are extremely important to hiwecanhelp and the team is currently working with a number of members to develop new and innovative awareness campaigns.  For example, the Sunderland DAT worked with the hi team to develop an innovative Synthetic Highs marketing campaign. This started by working with a focus group to review and refine the campaign objectives. The hi team then developed a customised webpage within the hiwecanhelp site to host their key marketing messages - this page allows the DAT to showcase their service offering, logo, imagery and contact details and, importantly, Sunderland DAT are able to manage and update their webpage using the content management system. The page acts as a key part of their marketing activity and the site content has been used across a number of supporting marketing materials including posters and promotional merchandise. The literature for the campaign can be seen in the supporting documents below.

Pathway tool - the hi team is also in the process of developing a dynamic interactive pathway tool, the hi way. This project was developed in response to the hi members in Leeds DAT who needed a tool to help service users navigate the treatment system.  The team worked on a proposal which has received funding from the HIEC (Health Innovation Education Cluster) NE and the build is underway. “We believe the hiway to be ahead of the curve in providing frontline staff with access to the tools necessary to achieve their objectives and has been specifically created to provide transparent, tailored support for healthcare professionals and those on the path to drug and alcohol recovery.”

Dr Philip Nichols, The Health Innovation Education Cluster for the North East (HIEC)

The hi team works closely with DATs to create new, exciting and effective campaigns and we would be delighted to discuss any ideas you may have to develop a database, an on-line tool or your DAT’s webpage on the hi way. Many of the ideas can be developed at no cost to your DAT!
